Privacy policy
Last updated 25 October 2026. Applies to the Vyntez Browser desktop app, Vyntez Search and the Vyntez Browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox, provided by Vyntez Solutions ("we").
Vyntez Browser and Vyntez Search
- No account. The desktop browser works without signing in. History, tabs, Spaces, settings and downloads are stored only on your computer, in your Windows profile. Ghost windows keep nothing after they close.
- Searches. When you search with Vyntez Search, the query is sent over HTTPS to our server
(
api-browser.vyntez.com). Our server asks search engines such as Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo and Brave on your behalf, from our own address, so they do not see your IP address. Weather, definitions and Wikipedia panels are looked up from Open-Meteo, dictionaryapi.dev and Wikipedia in the same way. - No search log. We do not write queries, page text or request logs to disk. Results for a query are kept in memory for up to 10 minutes so a repeated search is fast; that cache is keyed by the query, not by you.
- IP address. Held only in memory, for rate limiting, for at most two minutes.
- AI features. AI TL;DRs send the query and the result snippets, and Ask Vyn sends the text of the page you ask about, to the Vyntez AI service, which may use a third-party language model to write the answer. We do not store this text after the answer is returned.
- Ad blocking. Filter lists (EasyList, EasyPrivacy) are downloaded to your computer. Blocking happens on your computer; we do not see which pages you visit.
- Web pages you visit are loaded directly from those sites and are covered by their own privacy policies.
The Vyntez Browser extension
- Account. To send captures you create an account with your name, e-mail address and a password (stored as a salted hash). A 6-digit code is e-mailed to confirm the address.
- What is read. Only after you press Scan this page, or on a site you allowed: visible e-mail addresses
(text and
mailto:links) and tables. Never form fields, text you are typing, hidden content, cookies or site storage. - What is sent. Only what you keep in the preview and send (or, if you switched on Send automatically for a site, what is found there): the page address and title, the addresses with nearby names and context, the tables, and your optional collection and note.
- What we keep. Your captures and a contact list merged from them, until you delete them or your account (Options → Account → Delete account removes the account and every capture and contact).
- Other Vyntez apps. Other Vyntez apps you use with the same e-mail address (for example Vyntez Mail) can read your captures and contacts so you can use them there. No other organisation receives them.
Data you capture about other people
E-mail addresses you capture belong to other people. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to collect and use them, and for honouring their requests. We process this data on your behalf and only to provide the service.
Security and location
All traffic uses HTTPS. Data is stored on servers we operate. Sign-in tokens expire after 15 minutes and are rotated; reusing an old token signs out every session.
Your rights
You can see, export (CSV) and delete your data in the extension's options page at any time. For anything else, including access, correction or deletion requests, e-mail privacy@vyntez.com.
Changes
We will update this page when what we collect changes, and change the date at the top.
